Thursday’s Side Dish: Han Kuk Mi Nutrigrain Rice

Look for the yellow bag

Concerned about your steamed rice intake?  Regular white rice is loaded with carbs, so it’s basically comparable to eating spoonfuls of granulated sugar.  We recommend that you try nutrigrain rice by Han Kuk Mi, which is based in Korea.  This is not brown rice; however, expect a light brown color to this nutrient rich rice.  Han Kuk Mi nutrigrain possesses a slight and sweet nutty flavor.  And yes, it’s also retains a sticky consistency that rice lovers will enjoy.  The Mixed Stew crew paid $18.99, at Lotte Plaza, for a 15lb bag.  We’ve even made Spam masubi with this substitute ingredient.
