Thursday's Side Dish: Black Beans as Leftovers

Twice as nice

Remember that you can always freeze a portion of our bean dish for enjoying at a later date.  What can you do with leftover beans?  You can bake them into a Shepherd's pie or add a layer of beans to your cheesy potatoes au gratin.  These beans are also a fantastic side dish to any barbecue or meat dish.  Finally, sautee shrimp in a little cooking oil, garlic, and salt then add these beans to make a rich seafood dish to be served with steamed rice.
