Thursday’s Side Dish: Deep Fried Tortillas

Crunchy, crispy, refreshed

Tired of soggy tortillas?  Deep frying corn tortillas is a simple and easy method that lends Latin American inspired dishes an added crunch.  They’re basically freshly prepared corn chips or tortilla chips.  We also suggest slicing tortillas into strips and then frying them to make a veggie salad with a Mexican twist or a homemade taco salad.  Beware that calorie count and health-conscious dieting get left by the wayside if you like deep frying your tortillas.
