Friday's Last Spoonful: Different Variations on Pumpkin French Toast Bake

Change up this bake in flavors

We think that the trick to our Pumpkin French Toast is making sure to let the ingredients soak overnight.  If you’re out of canned pumpkin, then we suggest taking things in different directions.  For example, the canned pumpkin can be substituted for canned yams, canned sweet potato, or even canned peaches.  Wanna kick it up a notch?  Remember that brand name cereals, such as Captain Crunch or Apple Jacks, can also translate into yummy and unique French Toast flavors.  Lastly, add crushed walnuts, pine nuts, or almonds to give this bake more bite.
