Wednesday’s Helping: Make this Bake Healthier


More than cutting back carbs

We suggest lightening up this bake by using low-fat evaporated milk instead of regular evaporated milk.  You can also scratch the evaporated milk and use fresh skim milk to really lower the calorie count.  Meanwhile, substitute the regular French baguette for multi-grain or even whole wheat.  Concerned about the sugar?  Don’t forget about Splenda.  Lastly, you can use Egg Beaters instead of whole eggs.
