Cabbage
has the right taste and texture to get smothered. What other veggies do
we recommend for this particular preparation? Fresh greens, such as kale,
chard, or spinach, make for great substitutes. Remember that smokedturkey meat and turkey bacon are healthier options for the pork in our
rendition. If you must make a vegetarian version, we recommend adding
thinly sliced red bell pepper to give it more oomph or flavor dimension.
